Fearless Girl Shattered Ceiling Showcases That More Diverse Companies Perform 50% Better

The gist:

The girl who stands her ground on the streets of NY is at it again. We last we saw her, power posed, staring Wall Street down. Today, she’s surrounded by ‘broken shards of glass,’ that Cyrus Taraporevala, State Street Global Advisors President and Chief Executive Officer said is “a symbol of the new ground women are breaking every day.”

"Today's broken glass ceilings are tomorrow's stepping stones," reads the plaque.

The Fearless Girl Campaign was launched in 2017 “to make the case that companies with more diverse leadership perform better.” Since the campaign’s start, “1,486 companies were identified for not having a woman on their board, 862 companies of those identified have added a female director.” Way to go Fearless Girl!
