An analysis by the Pew Research Center shows the increase of women's representation in the United States' highest-paying occupations since 1980. While pharmacy is the only field where women outnumber men (61 percent), other professions like law (increased from 14% in 1980 to 40% in 2021), and similarly for dentists, (increased from 7% to 33%). However, gender disparities persist in sectors such as petroleum, mining, and geological engineering, where women remain underrepresented. These high-paying occupations generally offer a median annual salary exceeding $100,000, highlighting the continued need for effort to promote gender equality in these fields. Anna Fleck, Statista.
